Realized projects

MWI MetOp SG

Since 2017, we have been working for the MetOp-SG mission on the production and testing of cable harnesses for the Microvawe Imager (MWI). In autumn 2023, we sent to OHB-Italy the last, fourth model series of cable harnesses produced exclusively in Brno.

Our cables will provide the interconnection of all electronic instruments and sensors on the satellite.

The benefits of the mission will be to improve weather forecasting at intervals of up to 10 days in Europe and worldwide or to improve air quality forecasting.

HERA Harness

We worked on the HERA satellite, a research project of the European Space Agency, which is one of the projects within the programme of preparing the Earth for a possible collision with a space body.
The HERA satellite (together with two CubeSats) will assess the consequences of the impact of the US DART mission on the asteroid Didymos.
We were responsible for the implementation and testing of the wiring harnesses for the first part of the test campaign. We were also producing the wiring harnesses for the so-called FM flight phase.

Biomission 19

Biomission 19, a project being developed for the International Space Station (ISS), includes three experiments.

Almost half of the ISS crew is struggling with immunity problems. In weightlessness, immunity is not activated, so even the common cold can be a big risk for astronauts. The Human Bone Marrow Model and XENOPUS A/B experiments will help scientists understand why immunity stops working in weightlessness.

We have been involved in the XENOPUS A/B project, where we provided the design and manufacture of the electronics and wiring harnesses. XENOPUS will study the development of antibodies in frogs in space.

Triton-X Harness

The multi-purpose, scalable and powerful Triton-X platform is set to become a leading commercial product for customers worldwide, enabling affordable regional and global microsatellite systems.
Our cable harnesses are a suitable combination for the Triton-X solution by providing vital connectivity between satellite devices.
These new, affordable, versatile, and modular Triton-X microsatellite platforms allow easy customization for a variety of missions such as Earth observation, telecommunications and SIGINT, or on-orbit services.

JUICE - LRF & MGAMA

For the JUICE mission, we worked on 2 projects, namely the Low Frequency Receiver with the Academy of Sciences (UFA) and the Medium Gain Antenna Major Assembly with the Spanish company SENER. The LRF serves as a digital wave analyzer and is a part of the Radio and Plasma Waves Investigation (RPWI) instrument. G.L. Electronic ensured the qualification of components and the production of electrical equipment. MGAMA is a two-axis steerable antenna that provides communication between the JUICE satellite and Earth. We have implemented the production of cable harnesses.

SSMS Vega PoC

G.L. Electronic worked on dispenser to the top of the Vega rocket. This unique design makes it possible to carry up to sixteen satellites simultaneously. G.L. Electronic realizes the complete production and integration of wiring harnesses and sensors. At the beginning of September 2020, the Vega rocket (flight VV16) successfully launched a dispenser with 53 small satellites. We also worked on flight VV18.

VEGA-E, M10

A new VEGA-E rocket, a small satellite carrier based on the VEGA-C rocket configuration, is currently being developed. The new rocket is an improved and more affordable version of the VEGA-C rocket. The main element of this evolution will be a new liquid cryogenic rocket engine called the M10. The use of innovative technologies for the higher-level engine will increase the competitiveness of VEGA-E by reducing the cost of start-up services and increasing flexibility. We work with the Sobriety company on valves for this engine weighing 10 tons.
